An Actual Update!

Last drawing in Henry Yan's workshop! Good times though... and I know this dude is missing a little something... I forgot ;P

We had a legioneer come in Barbara's class! Lotsa fun drawing him. Great model.

Digital Portfolio stuff.

I needed a more or less finished piece for Digital Portfolio, so I took the easy route and did a character portrait, in the story, she was a princess cursed as a snake until the hero saved her.

Fabulous! Beautiful work! I especially dig the castle concepts, really interesting value studies and shapes in the thumbs. You portrayed the space really well in all the thumbs in the last page of castle concepts. I always have a hard time in that stage (keeping it simple yet clear)

man, you guys got to draw a legionaire.. what fun.

really digging the castle design, has a very organic, airy and majestic feel to it.

Somehow the snake princess story reminds me of Swanlake.

AHHH very very beautiful work!! Everything turned out so nicely. The portrait of the soldier was plain beautiful. The rest are, of course, very impressive as well. You always manage to retain that clean, accurate, structural linework, and imbue a sense of romance in them :) AND I envy your natural sense for colors (all your staging stuff). Very very good.

The legionnaire portrait I think is my favorite thing that I've ever seen you do. Awesome.

Solid work Helen! The figure studies and concepts have full understanding of the technique and the forms they describe. This is better than pros who are in the industry. show 'em how its done!
